During the rainy season, patient numbers increase to over 100 per day, reaching approximately 2,000 patients. Critical cases are promptly managed, and referrals are made to Essau Health Center or Banjul's main hospital.
Common childhood illnesses treated at the clinic include diarrhea, malnutrition, anemia, pneumonia, asthma, burns, skin and ear infections, abdominal pain, and animal bites. Adults commonly present with diabetes, hypertension, anemia, dehydration, abdominal pain, fatigue-induced body pain, toothaches, urinary tract infections, and road traffic accidents.
Rose Health Center is staffed by seven individuals, including one registered nurse overseeing operations, four auxiliary nurses, a cleaner, and a watchman.
